Learning & Development Trainer
Contract: Full-Time, 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract
Location: UK National (Field-based position)
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 + (£4,000 company car allowance)
Dignity is one of the UK’s leading providers of funeral services, committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate care to the families we serve. With significant investment in digital transformation underway, we are rolling out our new FireHawk system across the country, and we’re looking for a capable and engaging Learning & Development Trainer to ensure our teams are fully equipped to embrace this change.
About the Role
As a Learning & Development Trainer, you’ll design and deliver impactful training programmes to help colleagues confidently use new systems and develop professionally. You’ll play a key role in embedding FireHawk—our new operational platform—while also driving a positive learning culture across a highly diverse, field-based workforce.
You’ll work closely with our IT Training Manager, operational teams, and stakeholders at all levels, delivering both in-person and remote training interventions throughout the UK.
We aim to deliver two training sessions per day and each training hub assignment will last approximately 6–8 weeks before moving to the next regional location.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, role-relevant training sessions on the FireHawk system and other business-critical tools.
- Support the design of instructional content tailored to different job functions and digital skill levels.
- Facilitate the roll-out of training schedules across multiple regions, ensuring consistent and timely delivery.
- Provide hands-on coaching and support to employees post-training to reinforce learning.
- Collaborate with departments to ensure training aligns with operational and compliance standards.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and contribute to continuous improvement of training materials and methods.
What Success Looks Like
- Staff feel confident and competent using the Firehawk system.
- Positive feedback is received from training sessions.
- High levels of engagement and participation are maintained throughout.
- Administrators are equipped to support colleagues and manage system setup independently.
What We’re Looking For
- A UK Driving License holder who has access to their own vehicle.
- Proven experience in delivering effective IT and systems training within operational or customer-facing environments.
- Confident facilitating training for groups at all levels, with a people-first, empathetic approach.
- Strong communication, coaching, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Comfortable travelling UK-wide with occasional overnight stays.
- Adaptable and resilient with the ability to tailor training for various learning styles and abilities.
- Experience in rolling out CRM or other enterprise systems is highly desirable.
