Here at Dignity Funerals we are currently undertaking a significant digital transformation programme to modernise how we track and care for the deceased. This project, already underway in Scotland, will expand across our wider UK operations throughout 2025. To support this transition, we are delivering a comprehensive training programme to ensure our teams are confident and capable of using our new system.

We are seeking an experienced IT Systems Training Manager to lead and coordinate a team of trainers across the UK. This is a critical leadership role within the rollout, ensuring the smooth and effective delivery of training sessions across multiple regional hubs.

About the Role

Reporting into the central transformation programme, the Training Manager will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of the training schedule, managing a team of dedicated trainers, and ensuring both staff and facilities are well-prepared. You’ll also act as the key link between the training team and regional business leaders, ensuring feedback and performance are regularly reviewed and optimised.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the full training schedule across regional hubs, ensuring all sessions are staffed, resourced, and delivered as planned.
  • Support, guide, and develop the trainer team, ensuring they are fully prepared to deliver high-quality sessions.
  • Liaise with regional business leaders and Heads of Region to align facilities, logistics, and scheduling.
  • Oversee progress tracking, staff attendance, and reporting on outcomes.
  • Step in to deliver training sessions when required.
  • Escalate risks or issues and implement corrective action where necessary.

Accountabilities

  • All training sessions are delivered on schedule and meet minimum attendance requirements.
  • Trainers are supported, confident, and performing effectively.
  • Training environments are suitable and conducive to learning.
  • Strong relationships with operational leaders and continuous feedback loops are maintained.

What Success Looks Like

  • A smooth and coordinated training rollout across all regions.
  • Staff feel confident in using the Firehawk system.
  • Trainers feel engaged, equipped, and supported throughout the project.
  • Positive feedback from both trainers and regional stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience managing training programmes or trainer teams, ideally in a systems or IT transformation context.
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills across multiple locations.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to work collaboratively with senior stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment.
  • Flexible to travel and stay away from home as required throughout the project duration.
  • Hands-on attitude with the ability to step in and deliver training where needed.

What We Provide to You (Pro-rata basis)

  • £40,000 - £45,000 per annum.
  • £4,000 Annual Car Allowance
  • 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays.
  • BUPA Healthcare (Self).
  • Pension Scheme 4% matched.
  • Life Assurance X2 annual salary.
  • Free On-Site Parking at many sites UK-wide.

What are the next steps?

You’ll be leading a team that is central to enabling our workforce to embrace change and modern ways of working—while helping deliver better service to families across the country.
