Are you a compassionate, empathetic individual with strong interpersonal skills? We are seeking a Memorial Consultant to join our team at Wyre Forrest Crematorium, where you will support families in creating lasting tributes for their loved ones. This role blends care, consultation, and support.

Why This Role Matters

At CMG, we help families create meaningful memorials that honour the lives of their loved ones. As a Memorial Consultant, you will guide clients with care, offer suitable options, and ensure each memorial is a true reflection of the person being remembered.

The Role

As a Memorial Consultant, you will work with families to help them choose and personalise memorials that suit their wishes and budget. You will provide clear, compassionate advice while maintaining excellent client service and meeting agreed performance goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet with families to discuss and recommend memorial options, including plaques, headstones, and garden placements.
  • Guide clients through the memorial selection, personalisation, and installation process.
  • Present memorial products clearly and compassionately, ensuring clients understand their options.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and orders.
  • Coordinate with site teams, suppliers, and administrative colleagues to ensure smooth order processing.
  • Participate in site events, memorial open days, and community engagement activities.

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has a natural empathy and ability to support grieving families with sensitivity.
  • Possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Is a confident communicator with strong active listening skills.
  • Is organised and detail-oriented, with excellent administrative abilities.
  • Has experience in client support, retail, bereavement services, or similar client-facing roles.
  • PC Literate – Able to use a range of IT systems, including Microsoft Office, Outlook and internal databases (training provided).

What you can expect from us

We believe in rewarding our colleagues with a strong, supportive benefits package that helps you feel secure, valued and able to grow.

  • Time to recharge – Up to 25 days’ annual leave (increasing with service) plus bank holidays, giving you the time you need to rest and reset.
  • Rewarding your contribution – Benefit from our memorial sales commission scheme, rewarding you for supporting families with their memorial choices.
  • A little extra reward – Opportunity to earn a yearly bonus of up to £300–£500 in recognition of your contribution.
  • Planning for your future – 4% matched pension to help you build long-term financial security.

Why CMG

CMG cares for 45 crematoria and 12 cemetery sites across the UK, serving communities for over 150 years. Our work is about looking after places that matter to families and communities for generations. As part of Life Services Group, CMG shares the same three commitments as every one of our brands: meaningful purpose, helping families remember the people they love; grow with us, through training, support and pride in specialist work; and shape the future, by making crematoria and cemetery care more modern, sustainable and human.

CMG is part of Life Services Group; alongside Dignity Funeral Directors, Simplicity Cremations, Dignity Legal Services and Farewill. Together, we are building a group that can support families across more of the end-of-life journey, while each brand keeps the name, identity and specialist focus people already know. For CMG, that means more investment in modern facilities, better tools and stronger support for local teams, so colleagues can grow with us and continue caring for the places families trust.

You’ll be part of a close-knit local team who look after each other, the families we serve and the places in our care. No two days are the same, and the work you do is noticed, valued and part of shaping a better experience for communities for generations to come.

If you want meaningful work, the chance to grow with us and a role where you can help shape the future of crematoria and cemetery care, find your Life’s work.
