Internal Communications and Engagement Business Partner

📍 Location: Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands (3 days per week in office)

💷 Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum


Are you an experienced storyteller who can deliver inclusive communications across a multi-site network and contribute to an engaged and empowered business culture?

This full-time, permanent role reports to the Head of Internal Communications and seeks a true storyteller. You'll engage colleagues by sharing wins, inspiring action, and fostering community. Your goal is to keep everyone informed and connected, creating an environment where all feel engaged and empowered. You’ll shape company culture and drive success, ensuring communication reaches colleagues with limited access to technology.

Here is what a typical day could look like for you:

  • Support the Head of Internal Communications in delivering our strategy and campaign calendar.
  • Align all communications with Dignity's culture and values, promoting transparency, inclusivity, and diversity.
  • Tailor communications to different colleague demographics.
  • Build relationships and provide tactical communications advice to stakeholders.
  • Design communication plans with stakeholders for initiatives like colleague wellbeing and recognition.
  • Create and deliver engaging campaigns and materials using the right message, timing, and channels.
  • Develop content for internal channels including email, social media, noticeboards, and newsletters.
  • Coordinate the implementation and review of communication channels, including the intranet.
  • Stay updated on trends and technologies in internal communications to enhance processes.
  • Manage engagement events considering colleagues' varying access to technology and hybrid working environments.

This role is ideal for a candidate who:

  • Has experience in Internal Communications and Engagement, preferably across multiple sites and utilizing diverse communication channels.
  • Possesses a solid understanding of communication strategy, content planning, editorial calendars, and project management.
  • Can effectively convey business objectives, strategies, values, and employer branding through various communication mediums.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in interviewing, writing, copy editing, and proofreading, with the ability to tailor the tone of voice to different audiences.
  • Is experienced with Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite, video production software, and managing communication platforms.
